Chapmanville loses at Herbert Hoover, 3-2

FALLING ROCK – Herbert Hoover dropped the Chapmanville Regional High School baseball team to 12-10 on the season with a 3-2 win over the Tigers on Wednesday night at Falling Rock.

Craig Johnson pitched a complete game for the Tigers. He tossed seven innings and allowed three runs (one earned) and five hits with 11 strikeouts and no walks.

Zac Gresham went 2-for-4 at the plate for the Tigers.

Cliff Hall doubled and Johnson and Caleb Toparis each singled. Chapmanville is at Nitro tonight, before hosting Belfry (Ky.) on Friday at 6 p.m. in a doubleheader. CRHS hosts Hoover on Saturday at 3 p.m.
