Man High School
Local schools celebrated Earth Day on April 29. Karen Arms' Civics class at Man High School planted two trees on Man High School's campus for Earth Day. The Chapmanville Regional High School National Honor Society planted 12 flowering pear trees in celebration of Earth Day. "We did have to wait until a few days after Earth Day to actually plant our trees," joked sponsor Crystal Howell. "Mother Nature just wasn't giving us the best weather that week." The National Honor Society members said they hope the trees will remind students, faculty, and staff to appreciate the environment and work toward "going green." They also said they hope that the trees will also complement the new high school. Photos/Submitted
