
A three-car crash just outside the town limits of Man sent one driver to a Huntington hospital with severe injuries. The driver of the Ford Mustang, which collided with a Ford pickup truck, had to be extricated from the car by the Jaws of Life. The cause of the crash was not known as of press time this morning. Reports to The Logan Banner said Anthony Ellis of Man was seriously injured in the crash. He was driving a Ford Mustang that collided with a Ford pickup truck and a sport utility vehicle was also involved in the wreck.
The crash occurred around 9:30 .m. just about a mile outside the Man town limits.
An unconfirmed report said Ellis suffered a leg injury and head and chest injuries and was transported to St. Marys hospital in Huntington.
Logan County Volunteer Fire Department No. 2 had to use the Jaws of Life to extricate Ellis from the Mustang, according to the report.
Crews had to cut off the top of the Mustang to get Ellis out.
The crash was investigated by the Town of Man Police and the Logan County Sheriff’s Department.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
