Born July 9, 1936 at Carlisle, she was a loving daughter of the late Elmer and Gertrude Arthur Osborne. Also preceding her in death were two brothers, Elmer “Boots” Osborne and Okey “Buck” Osborne; one sister, Opal Osborne Riser, and her mother and father-in-law, Leck and Sadie Browning Ellis.
Ardith was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was of the Church of God faith.
Those left to love and cherish her memory include her devoted husband of 54 years, Morris G. Ellis; two daughters, Sharon (Phillip) Murphy of Gilbert and Lorna Sue (Roger) Cantrell of Wharncliffe; son, Bryan (Lisa) Ellis of Sprattsville; five grandchildren, Todd (Melinda) Cantrell, Stephanie Cantrell (Rick) Lusk, Heather Rae Murphy (Landon) Hatfield, Katie Jo Ellis and Joshua “JT” Ellis; four great-grandchildren, Todd Cantrell Jr., Brittany Cantrell, Ella Grace Hatfield and Emily Ann Hatfield; sister, Ocie Smith of Carlisle; twin brothers, Ron Osborne of Madison, Ohio, and Don Osborne of Chardon, Ohio, and special caregiver and friends, Angie Bryant Clark and her son, Trace Clark, of Chattaroy.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Soma and Staff, the Respiratory Staff at ARH Hospital, and the Congregation at Christ Temple at Williamson.
Memorial services will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, June 20, at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Thomas Moore and Rev. Denny May officiating. To honor her wishes she was cremated.
Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
Her husband and children have invited family and friends to a reception celebrating her life at the Larry Joe Harless Community Center in Gilbert immediately following the services.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to the Larry Joe Harless Community Center, Gilbert, WV 25621.
