The Logan County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce its new director for the Logan County Fair Pageant, Mrs. Asheley Allie.

Asheley is a Logan native and an active member of the Logan community. A working mother of three, she is no stranger to pageants. As a child, she herself competed in multiple area pageants and competitions. Asheley’s daughter Ayla has competed in several pageants including the Logan County Fair Pageant. Asheley also coordinated a calendar contest which was inspired by her daughter, Ayla.

The Logan County Fair Pageant will take place on Saturday, August 8, 2009 at 6 p.m. The pageant is open to all Southern West Virginia residents with categories for ages newborn to 17 years. The “Miss Logan County” division is open to all Logan County residents from 18 to 21 years of age.

Entry to participate is $60 and an additional $10 to compete in the photogenic division. Past awards have included scholarships provided by Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College and saving bonds from area sponsors.
