Delegates Greg Butcher and Josh Stowers met at the Buffalo Creek Memorial Library with members of the community to discuss the recent passing of a resolution by the House of Delegates to rename Buffalo Creek Road the Buffalo Creek Memorial Highway in honor of the victims of the Buffalo Creek Disaster. Plans were made for the placement of the signs along the highway and for a ceremony to be held on Sunday, August 9, 2009, at 2 p.m. at the Buffalo Creek Memorial cite for their unveiling. The public is invited to attend the ceremony.
