Editor,
In your Thursday, July 23, edition of the Logan Banner was the lead story, “Ferrell can keep license”
We have a person who is indicted for 48 counts of racketeering, illegal gambling and the bribing of a lottery inspector. Yet he can keep leasing video terminals to retailers.
Our justice system is not about money, wrong doing or breaking the law, but about money. Let me correct my statement … it is about money. Since Mr. Ferrell’s business brings in 2.3 million a month to the state, the state wants to give Mr. Ferrell a smack on the hand and let him keep his license.
Any other person arrested on this conviction would go to jail. This is all about the money the state is receiving from Southern Amusement.
Shame on you … money, money, money.
