Editor,

Let’s face the facts … the ugly truth … regardless of the personal pain it may cause. What facts you ask? Well, the simple, plain truth is that the current US President, Vice President, and the entire Congress of these United States of America are unfit to serve as our leaders.

When we look at their collective track record, we are left with only two options … keep reelecting them or replace every one of them … from both parties. I for one think they all must go and the sooner the better. Please give a listen and follow my reasoning.

If you see things the way I do, then I hope you’ll join with me in a commitment to reelect no one at the federal government level. Virtually every social problem that exists within our great country is directly traceable back to federal politicians who created them. Yet, they would individually suggest, that although they are a part of the system, they themselves are not personally accountable for the actions of the whole. Kind of like saying, “Yeah I was part of the riot, but I didn’t like it”. In fact they routinely campaign against the very problems they voted to create!

Both political parties claim to be against deficit spending … so why on earth do we have deficits? Everyone claims to be against higher taxes, yet taxes keep increasing. They all favor energy independence, yet we are still buying foreign oil. They all claim to be in favor of the middle class, but the middle class continues to carry the financial burden of the entire country.

Just exactly how is that with so many “individual” Senators and Congressmen with personal convictions that favor the average American, … how is that collectively they continue to extort and cheat us at every turn? Huh… maybe it’s because in reality they like it this way?

Look, if these guys really stood for what they “say” they believe in, then we wouldn’t have the mess we have today. Collectively, there are only a few hundred US Senators and Congressmen. They and they alone determine the financial and social direction of our country. If we have higher taxes, we have Congress to thank. When Social Security was robbed in the 1960s and replaced with an IOU (euphemistically referred to as the Social Security Trust Fund), we have congress to thank. When the prisons become overcrowded and criminals get sent back home instead of serving hard labor, we have congress to thank. When a President’s budget is destined to create a debt which cannot be paid back in 40 years, remember Congress approved it. When they complain of “lobbyists” … remember no lobbyist can force his bribe upon anyone. If you don’t want lobbyists in Washington then stop using them for own enjoyment. (Are you hearing me Nicky Joe?).

Dear friends, neighbors and family; I am herewith asking all of you to pledge with me to re-elect no one in Washington. Yes, I’m suggesting we toss out the baby with the bathwater. Because the bathwater is so nasty, you can’t tell if it’s actually a baby in that tub or a snake! Let’s toss them all out; as soon as possible. We have the power … it’s called a vote. Next federal election, no matter how much you might like Rockefeller, Byrd or Rahall … do not pull that lever to reelect them. Its time they get out and let someone else have a shot at fixing the problem. Then when we elect this new bunch we give them one instruction … “Get us term limits on Congress”.

We want two terms to be the limit of any US Senator or Congressmen. And if the new bunch fails, well; we vote them out and get us some more fresh meat; and we keep doing it until they become our representatives and not these self aggrandizing, self righteous, self-seeking, elites (such as we have now in Rahall, Byrd, and Rockefeller).

Now folks, I’m not speaking of a Democrat verses Republican position here. I’m saying all of them must go now from both parties! I don’t care if we replace them with trained collie dogs … this bunch we have now in Congress are disgraceful beyond belief. The time has come. We will either get off our butts to vote “No” to more of the same guys with the same lies; or we can kiss our country goodbye! You decide.

Responding to Gary Lee Corns letter "Vote No," I couldn't agree more with what he has to say. For many years now we've seen our freeedoms eroded, deficit spending out of control, social engineering taking place, private property rights destroyed, continuous attempts to take away our guns, homosexual advocates in our faces proposing gay marriage when only about 1.5 % of the population is gay, etc. Congress has passed laws and placed restrictions upon us and that only supported by a minority few: Affirmitive Action, moratorium on domestic drilling for energy or the construction of nuclear power plants, an attempt to eliminate coal as an energy source and much more. I even ask myself how the heck did we even get a supreme court who only recently and narrowly voted 5-4 that we have a right to keep and bear arms. My God, the vote should have been 9-0! Now we have an administration along with a Democrat controlled house and senate who are bent on radically changing this country to re-distribute wealth and transform this country into a welfare state. This is the objectove of the Black Nationalist Movement which President Obama is a part of. They know reparations are unpoular so they choose to nationalize as much of our economy as possible. They think this is the next best thing to reparations. They will get to control who gets the funds and who contributes the funds. Yes, we need to kick them all out of office: Republicans and Democrats. And by electing only those who promise to impose term-limits on the Congress and Senate, we can get our country back. And if any of them don't bring a bill before the house regarding term-linits or if they vote no on the measure, I say we vote them out and get another bunch who will do the people's business. Another thing, how pathetic is it that when we entrust our representatives with the responsibility of protecting our freedoms and our fruits of labor, they can't even read the bill they will be voting on. I'd say this is incompetence at the highest level. VOTE EVERYONE OUT OF OFFICE, BOTH PARTIES! And one more thing, ask yourself what has Senator Byrd done over the years to bring continued, long-term prosperity to West Virginia? Nothing! Yes, he always get funds to build bridges and roads but think about it, these are only temporary economic measures, just like Obama's economic stimilus package of 1 trillion dollars. If I had been representing the great state of West Virginia, I would have aggressively sought incentives for business to relocate into West Virginia. As we know, many US Corporations have fled to Mexico because of regulations and higher US taxes. Companies like Gateway Computers and Levi Clothing along with many others have relocated operations to Mexico. As a senator, I would have negotiated a better deal for these companies to be in West Virgina rather than in Mexico. It's time for Byrd to go too!

Nermlinger, I'm not sure what you are saying here? How can national healthcare help? We have an elitist government that completely disregards the opinion of the people eg the country was against the stimulas bill, the auto industry bail out, cap and trade legislation, and now the national healthcare bill; yet these elites in DC have voted all of them in. It is time to vote them out ... period.

The only way you can stop those nermlingers is to make people earn what they receive. With the national health care that may work even though I am against it. Medicaid, welfare reform, and some good old "You want to eat?" earn your chow.
