Born November 10, 1951, at Logan, she was a daughter of Muriel June Williams Browning of Man and the late Homer C. Browning. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Gary Michael King; one sister, Patricia Ann Liming, and her father-in-law, John H. King.
Carolyn was a nursing secretary and telemetry technician employed with Logan Regional Medical Center for 15 years. Additionally, she worked as a telemetry technician at Thomas Memorial Hospital in South Charleston for five years. She was a 1970 graduate of Man High School and was of the Baptist faith. She was a hardworking devoted mother and grandmother.
Additionally, those left to cherish her memory include two loving daughters, Angela Denise King of Henlawson, formerly of Man, and Kimberly Dawn Jarrell (Darrell) Ross of Kistler; her grandson, Joshua Tyler Ross who was her “pride and joy”; her brother-in-law, Roger D. Liming of Chapmanville; two nieces, Christy L. Liming of Florida and Katherine L. Stamper of Chapmanville; and two great-nieces, Payton Stamper and Layken Vance; her mother-in-law, Leona King of Kistler; two sisters-in-law, Nioka (George) Vance of Kistler and Jennifer (Rev. Bobby) Adkins of Lundale, and one nephew, Charles “Ryan” Crum of Kistler.
Graveside services and burial will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, August 6, at Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill with Rev. Bobby Adkins officiating.
