• Marvin Henry Brown, 54, of Amherstdale, was arrested in Logan County members of the US 119 Drug and Violent Crime Task Force for delivery of a controlled substance (second offense), conspiracy and parole violation on Aug. 4.
According to police reports on June 25, Brown and another individual allegedly conspired to deliver crack cocaine to a confidential informant for $200 in cash.
"The defendant was indicted in 2006 for delivery of a controlled substance in Circuit Court of Logan County and plead guilty to Delivery of a Controlled Substance," the report states. A warrant was issued for his arrest and he was taken into custody and was booked at the Southwestern Regional Jail at Holden at 2:30 p.m. At press time police were still seeking the other individual at whose residence the drug deal reportedly took place.
• Curtis Gene Gibson, 61, of Mt. Gay, was arrested in Logan County by members of the West Virginia State Police and the US 119 Drug and Violent Crime Task Force for conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance on Aug. 5. He was booked at the regional jail at 8:30 p.m.
• Della Christine Gillman, 57, of Mt. Gay, was arrested in Logan County by the WVSP for possession with intent to deliver and conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance on Aug. 5. She was booked at the regional jail at 8:30 p.m.
According to police reports on Aug. 5, the officers received a tip about drug activity taking place at a residence located on Monitor Hill in a camper resided by Gene and Della Gillman.
"These officers responded to the location and upon arrival did observe all doors open and people walking around inside the residence," the report states. "These officers approached the door and and observed Patrick Damron standing in the kitchen area with a bag of what appeared to be marijuana."
An undercover officer identified the police and asked to speak with Della Gillman.
"At this time, Patrick Damron attempted to conceal the marijuana from these officers," the report states. "Patrick Damron was then detained and later cited. Della Gillman then gave consent to search the aforementioned residence, where several different controlled substances as well as a substantial amount of US currency was seized from Della Gillman's purse, such as numerous hydrocodone, xanaxes and several individually wrapped marijuana cigarettes, loose marijuana in an individual bag and a total of $1,736. in US Currency. "
The reports state that Gillman an Gibson did conspire to deliver the hydrocodone and marijuana.
