The 13th Annual Hall-White reunion was held July 11, 2009, at the Chief Logan State Park, shelter 5.

Rev. Glenn White Jr. opened the gathering with prayer for the food and later gave an inspiring talk.

Several states were represented. Those from West Virginia were Glenn White, Keith and Donna White, Dean and Nikki Godby, Delores Tackett, Loveada Baird, Kataria Hurley, Nellie Richards, Maxine Quick, Janis and Randy Clark, David McCormick, Lisa Wanstreet, Noel and Sue Ann Richardson, and Sammy and Cindy Hall.

Those attending from Ohio were Stan and Margie Ferguson and Stan Ferguson Jr.; from Michigan, Ron and Phyllis Easley; from Virginia, Sharon White, Curt, Annie, Gracie and Jesse Spackman; from Georgia, Kristin Chelko and Vicki Calvanelli; from North Carolina, Sherry Barefoot; from Arizona, B.J. Johnston, and from California, Stacey Ferguson.

Sammy Hall displayed the portrait of the family's giant, Captain Martin Van Buren Bates (who was in the Guinness Book of world records). Family photos and stories and great food was shared by everyone.

The next reunion will be held at the same place on July 10, 2010.
