• Mark Allen Copley, 49, of Accoville, was arrested in Logan County by West Virginia State Police Trooper J.D. Hensley for counterfeiting and possession of a controlled substance on August 18.
According to police reports, the officer received information that Copley allegedly was counterfeiting U.S. currency at his residence.
"On Monday, Aug. 17, during a search of (Copley’s) residence, this officer obtained U.S. currency printed out on paper located on (Copley’s) bed," the report states. "This officer located tape, scissors, razor and paper trimmings in the accused’s bedroom as well. The U.S. currency that was printed out on paper had serial numbers that matched the serial numbers of counterfeit money that has been used in the local areas for the past week and a half. During a search of the accused's person, this officer located an Advil bottle that contained 10 OxyContin 40s and a silver-in-color bottle containing 25 Valiums."
Copley was booked at the Southwestern Regional Jail at Holden at 11:15 p.m.
• Ronald McCloud, 40, of Chapmanville, was arrested in Logan County by WVSP Trooper P.J. Dick for disorderly conduct and disrupting a government process on Aug. 21.
According to police reports, on Aug. 21, the trooper was dispatched to deal with an unruly subject at the Logan County Drug Court.
The officer arrived on the scene and took a statement from Day Report Officer Mike Johnson, who stated that McCloud came into the Day Report Center and attempted to use a bottle of fake urine to defeat the drug screening test.
Allegedly, after Johnson asked McCloud what he had used to pour into the container, he became irate and belligerent, screaming and moving his arms and Johnson said McCloud would not follow commands given from the staff.
• Lenvil Alvin Spencer, 42, residence not listed, was arrested in Logan County for public intoxication, obstructing and contempt of magistrate court.
The police report said that, according to witnesses, Spencer was brought into court allegedly drunk and was causing problems in the courtroom.
However, no probable cause was found on the charge and he was unable to be arraigned.
Spencer was booked at the regional jail at 4:45 p.m.
