The Man High School football team stayed at fifth place in this week's Daily Mail High School Football Poll.

Man (2-0) plays at Class AA No. 11-ranked Westside on Friday night.

The Hillbillies have wins over Logan (34-7) and Mount View (56-0).

Madonna is the new No. 1 team in the state this week.

Williamstown is second, Fayetteville third and Wheeling Central fourth. Parkersburg Catholic is sixth, St. Marys seventh, Matewan eighth, Tucker County ninth and Calhoun County 10th.

Man plays Matewan and Fayetteville later in the season.

Class AAA defending state champion South Charleston is still first in Triple-A. Martinsburg is second, Bridgeport third, George Washington fourth, Riverside fifth, University sixth, Wheeling Park seventh, Spring Valley eighth, Brooke ninth and Fairmont 10th.

In Class AA, Magnolia remained No. 1 in the state. Wayne is second, Bluefield third, Ravenswood fourth, James Monroe fifth, Frankfort sixth, Grafton seventh, Keyser and Scott are tied for eighth and Sherman is 10th.

Chapmanville (1-1), which lost 30-20 at Herbert Hoover last week, received two votes in this week's poll.

The WVSSAC’s first Computer Ratings will be out after this Friday night’s game, most likely on Tuesday, Sept. 15. If the polls were out today, Man would be ranked No. 1 in the state as the Billies have wins over a 3A school and a 2A team.
