LMS wins over Winfield

WINFIELD – The Logan Middle School football team picked up a big win on Thursday night as the Timberwolves traveled to Winfield and beat the Generals, 24-14, in a Mid-Valley Conference game.

The 2-1 T-Wolves were led by Brynden Street, who rolled up 240 yards on the ground on 13 carries and scored three touchdowns on runs of 72, 37 and 51.

Tyler Vernatter had eight rushes for 50 yards and two touchdowns.

Street and Vernatter also led the Logan defense with eight tackles each.

Clayton Marcum had five tackles, while Eric Brown and Caleb Browning had four stops apiece.

Tyler Workman and Preston Hepler had three tackles each and Ty Yeager had two.

LMS, coached by Jason Davis, travel to Ravenswood next Thursday for a 7 p.m. ballgame. The Logan Middle School JV team plays at Man on Monday at 6:30 p.m.
