Born June 14, 1952, he was a son of Anna Griffith Whited of Hanover and the late Lindsey Whited Sr. Also preceding him in death were two brothers, Lindsey Whited Jr. and Billy Jack Whited.
Bobby Don was a graduate of Baileysville High School where he was a quarterback for the football team and a member of the basketball team, and a former coal miner.
Additional survivors include one son, Robbie Whited of Bland, Va.; one daughter, Angela Whited of Ikes Fork; two brothers, Bill (Brenda) Whited of St. Louis, Mo., and Jack (Diane) Whited of Dyersburg, Tenn.; one sister, Gwendolyn Morgan of Vermilion, Ohio; two granddaughters, Cortney and Cailey Dawn of Ikes Fork; his former wife, Debbie Whited of Ikes Fork, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
The family would like to thank all the members and friends of the Justice and Hanover churches for their kindness and prayers. They would also like to thank his many friends and teachers that visited with him during his long illness. He has left us but in our hearts he will never be forgotten.
To honor his wishes, he was cremated. There will be no memorial services as his wishes to be cremated were fulfilled.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for prayers.
