Logan County Schools Assistant Superintendent Jim Guy looks over the bus as a parent hugs two children.
A bus and coal truck got to close for comfort yesterday afternoon when the two vehicles’ mirrors hit. The crash occurred at Taplin across from the old airport, according to a source. Several students were on board, but there were no major injuries. A County Public Ambulance crew checked students for injuries.

Anyone who may be left thinking that route 10 being widened is a waste needs to read this. If stories like this doesn't show the need then, what would it take? A bus-load of kids being knocked off the side of the mountain by a coal truck? How many feet away from this happening is it? I am thinking maybe less than 3 feet.
