The City of Logan proclaimed September 25 as "Citizens For Coal Day" in The City of Logan. Citizens for Coal is a non-profit organization dedicatied to helping maintain the vitality and productivity of the coal industry in West Virginia. On Monday, September 21, Logan Mayor Serafino Nolletti signed a proclamation to signify the importance of this organization, as well as the importance of the Coal industry for the State of West Virginia. Good to see that the multi-billion dollar coal industry is funding this propaganda blitz with T-shirts and all. I mean, all that money could have been wasted on things like miners's safety, compliance with laws, and maintaining miners' employment and wages, but instead it's going to "reporters" and "elected leaders."

I wish more of the other 95% of WV workforce (those not employed by the coal industry) would wake up and see what's going on here.
