The Timberwolves beat Chapmanville earlier in the season.
“I’m very proud of the team and proud of them for winning the county title,” LMS coach Jason Davis said. “It was a team effort. I’ve challenged them to play to their potential. We’re getting close to that. We’re getting better and better as the year has gone on.”
Brynden Street rushed 13 times for 115 yards and scored on TD runs of 16 and 2 for LMS. Tyler Vernatter had seven carries for 56 yards and scored on a 1-yard touchdown run.
LMS quarterback Brett Musick was 2-of-4 passing for 58 yards, including a 57-yard strike to Street.
Vernatter had nine tackles to lead the T-Wolves’ defense. Street had eight tackles and two fumble recoveries. Caleb Browning had six tackles and two sacks. Clayton Marcum had five tackles and an interception. Preston Hepler also had five stops.
Musick had four tackles and Eric Brown three. Brown and Jody Butcher had one forced fumble each.
LMS plays at Belfry, Ky., next Thursday.
