Jordan Moore will apparently box again at next month's Toughman.

Moore, a Verdunville native, won back-to-back men's light heavyweight championships in 2006 and 2007 but did not return last year due to the Toughman's limit of only allowing two titles in a particular class.

Moore, a former Logan High School baseball and football all-state player, is returning in the heavyweight class for the 22nd-annual Coal Area Toughman, which is scheduled for Nov. 13-14 at Logan High School's Willie Akers Arena. He is already one of 11 men who have signed up for the heavyweight division, which is made of men weighing 185 pounds and up. Moore is listed at 5-foot-11, 190 pounds.

Moore, nicknamed the “People's Champion,” will be looking for his third title but the challenge will be greater in the heavyweight class as he could be boxing against some men 100 pounds or heavier. Men weighing 275 and 280 pounds have already signed up.

Moore is the brother to former Logan Toughman champ Jason McCloud, who also boxed in both the men's heavyweight and light heavyweight divisions. Man native “Big Nasty” Carl Goff won the heavyweight crowns the last two years at the Toughman but is not eligible to box this year in the same class because of the Toughman rule.

Moore and Goff have boxed together at the Toughman World Championships.

Three women -- Danville's Ashley Berry and Mary Fowler and Nitro's Jaime Young -- have already signed up for next month's Toughman.

Last year, four women signed up but none showed up to box.
