STOLLINGS, W.Va. — Bobby P. Schrader, 89, of Stollings, passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2009, at Thomas Memorial Hospital in Charleston.

Born January 23, 1920, he was a grandson of the late Dutch and Corrie Lee Earnest. Also preceding him in death was one brother, Kelly Schrader, and his aunt, Mary Earnest Shelton.

Bobby was a proud veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Air Force and retiring as a Staff Sargeant. He was a retired auto mechanic instructor for the Ralph R. Willis Vocational and Technical School and attended the Stollings First Christian Church. He enjoyed driving his VW to car shows where he won many awards and made many friends. Bobby also loved spending time with his precious cat, Tommie.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 53 years, Nell Kuhn Schrader; three brothers Jim (Tommi) Schrader, Eddie Ray (Bernadine) Schrader and Bill Schrader; two sisters, Mary Katherine (Charles) Simmons and Betty Ann (Alger) Mosley; special nieces, Cynthia Warren, Sandra Mitchell, Beth Vail, Nora Childers and Alma Lee Warren; special nephews, Gary Hawkins, David Warren, Roger Shortt and Benjamin Rudisill, along with several other nephews and nieces.

Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, October 24, at the James Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Fry officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.

Pallbearers will family and friends.

Honorary pallbearers will be Eugene Russell, Eddie Thornhill, Sonny White, Gene White, Ralph Noe, Fred Duncan, John Collins, Cecil Adkins, Bill Miller, Mark Keyser, Mark Keyser II and Joshua Keyser.

Visitation will begin at noon Saturday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made in memory of Bobby to the Stollings First Christian Church.
