Lady Cats top rival Man, 3-2

MAN – It was close but it was not enough as the Man High School girls’ volleyball team lost 3-2 to county rival Logan in the regular season finale on Thursday at the Man Memorial Fieldhouse.

Logan took the match, 25-23, 10-25, 25-14, 18-25, 15-12.

Man, coached by Orlando Washington, closed out the regular season with a 9-16 record.

Last night’s match was Senior Night at Man as the Lady Billies honored its lone 12th-grade volleyball player, Brianna Donahue.

The Lady Billies play Monday at 6 p.m. in the first round of the Class A sectional tournament at Gilbert.

Triple-A Logan plays in its sectional next week at George Washington.
