PEACH CREEK, W.Va. — Mr. Ralph Lee Frye, 72, of Peach Creek, was born November 7, 1936, in Logan County, a son of the late George Woodrow and Marie McDonald Frye. He departed this life Friday, October 30, 2009, at St. Mary’s Medical Center at Huntington.

Mr. Frye was a retired coal miner and a member of the UMWA. Also preceding him in death was one sister, Doris Ruth Frye; a nephew, Scotty Sizemore, and his in-laws, William and Genieve Blevins.

Survivors include his wife, Priscilla Blevins Frye; daughter, Genny Jacobs (Jason Sheppard) of Big Creek; son, Charles “Eddie” Jacobs of Peach Creek; three sisters, Bernice (Grover) Chambers and Glenda Frye, both of Rum Creek, and Judy (Arnold) Vance of Dingess; two brothers, Charles (Tammy) Frye of Boone County and Freddie Frye of Wilkinson; three grandchildren, Haley and Emily Adkins and Jason Sheppard, II; four step-grandchildren, Mika, Kayla and Kendra Sheppard and Jessica Kitchen; special little friend, Jonathan Dingess; several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.

Private burial will be at a later date.

Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Chapmanville is serving the Frye family.
