COW CREEK, W.Va. — Katherine Lorene Crum, 61, of Cow Creek, formerly of Chauncey, went home to be with the Lord and her loving family that has been waiting for her Thursday, November 5, 2009, at the Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston surrounded by her family.
Born September 7, 1948, she was a daughter of the late Clyde “Junebug” and Margaret Brewer. Also preceding her in death was her husband of 32 years, Memphis Crum Jr., and one son, Brian Allen Crum. Katherine was of the Baptist faith and attended church when she was able to go.
Those left to cherish her memory include one daughter, Jodi (Pete) Caldwell of Logan; one son, Brent (Mandy) Crum of Cow Creek; daughter-in-law, Mary Estepp of Rossmore; four grandchildren, Emily and Alex Crum, and Jayla and Austin Lovejoy; one sister, Juanita (Everette) Vance of Chauncey; one brother, Darrell (Candy) Brewer of King Shoals, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends who will miss her sweet smile and laughter.
The family would like to thank all of the Hubbard Hospice House for the care and comfort they gave to her and her family.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, November 9, at the Collins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Chauncey Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Chris Robertson, Phillip Poe, Bruce Brewer, Jerry Morgan, Jimmy Sipple and Lee Vance,
Honorary pallbearers will be Everette Vance, Landon Vannatter, Bill Copley and Jim McMillen.
Collins Funeral Home at Switzer is in charge of arrangements.
