Three local teams have made it into the postseason and we congratulate Man, Chapmanville and Gilbert for making it into the playoffs.

The Man Hillbillies have enjoyed a successful run at the top of Class A this season and are sitting pretty in the No. 2 spot. Should they continue winning, they will host three playoff games in Man.

Their first game will be Friday night against a tough Parkersburg Catholic team, but we know the Hillbillies can win the first-round matchup .

The Chapmanville Regional High School Tigers are ranked at No. 14 and will travel to Seth in Boone County for a Saturday afternoon match against No. 3 Sherman. We know that those tough Tigers can withstand the Tide.

And the Gilbert Lions made it back into the Class A playoffs in the No. 16 spot and will have to travel to Weirton, where they will play top-seeded Madonna in a Friday night contest. We know the Lions can beat Madonna!

These three teams are good representatives of our area and we know they all three can be successful in this year’s playoffs! It’s a big feat to just make it into the postseason, so congratulations Man, Chapmanville and Gilbert! We wish you all the best of luck!
