Verdunville Elementary School is proud to announce that the school has received the prestigious honor of Exemplary School for the year 2009-2010. Verdunville Elementary is one of the two schools in Logan County to have received this award.

The award is based upon outstanding school achievement in both attendance and test scores. Verdunville has received this honor for the years 2007-2009, 2008-2009, and 2009-2010.

"To receive this honor is a tremendous accomplishment. It is indeed a group effort. I wish to thank the students for all of their hard work and faithful attendance. The teachers and staff do a remarkable job every day. We have the best parent volunteers who work along with the staff and students, I just can't thank them enough," said Barbara A. Porter, principal of Verdunville Elementary.

Verdunville is a Title I Distinguished School, has met AYP every year, and is now a three time winner of the Exemplary School Award.
