Doty girls celebrate birthdays — Tori and Laci Doty recently celebrated their birthdays at the Man Community Pool with a Birthday Luau themed party surrounded by family and friends. Tori celebrated her ninth birthday on August 7 and Laci celebrated her fifth birthday on August 26. They are the daughters of Tad and Angie Doty of Accoville and the granddaughters of Leon and Diane Ellis of Hunt and Tommy and Tonnia Doty of Accoville. Their great-grandmother is Shirley Napier of Mallory.
Couple to wed Dec. 12 — The parents of Amanda D. Hensley of Chapmanville wish to announce her engagement and upcoming marriage to Aaron M. Sparks, also of Chapmanville. The bride-elect is the daughter of Regina D. and Joel S. McNeely and Arthur Hensley, all of Chapmanville. Amanda is a 2003 graduate of Chapmanville High School and a 2008 graduate of Carver Career Center. She is employed with Logan Regional Medical Center as a respiratory therapist. The prospective groom is the son of Ronald and Kathryn Sparks of North Fork. Aaron is a 2002 graduate of Chapmanville High School and a 2009 graduate of Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College. He is employed with CAMC General as a registered nurse. The couple will be exchange vows on Saturday, December 12, at Gatlinburg, Tenn., with family and friends in attendance. The couple will honeymoon at Gatlinburg. Amanda and Aaron will reside at Ridgeview Estates at Chapmanville.
