Born December 30, 1954 at Holden, she was a daughter of the late Alan and Anna Dingess Farley. At her mother’s death bed request, Lana grew up in the home of the late Uncle and Aunt John Everett and Vinnie Dingess of Price Hollow.
Lana was a registered nurse at Williamson Memorial Hospital.
Survivors include her husband and father of her children, Paul Hicks; sons, Dean (Nicole) and Adam Hicks, both of Holden; daughter, Lavinna (Briam) Marcum of Holden; three grandchildren, Elayna and Bryan Joseph Marcum; her devoted niece, Pam Conley of Harts; brothers, James Thomas Farley, Joseph Farley and William “Bill” Farley, all of Chapmanville, and David Dingess of Huntington, and sisters, Sue Farley Mullins of Harts, Diana Farley Caldwell of Newark, Ohio, Jean Dingess Harrison and Elaine Dingess Chafin, both of Indianapolis, Ind., and Vivian Dingess Allen of Vermillion, Ohio.
Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 19, at the James Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Danny Curry officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
