Also preceding him in death was his wife, Beatrice Annetta Seay Bailey on January 3, 2002; two sisters, Edna Bailey and Marcella Blevins, and five brothers, Ralph, Fred, Jimmy, Gernie and Monroe Bailey.
Mr. Bailey was a retired coal miner from Pittson Coal Company, a veteran of the U.S. Marines serving during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the UMWA and the Big Creek Community Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Leah (Tom Jr.) Sizemore of Woodstock, and Kristie (Sean) Snyder of Cartersville, Ga.; two sisters, Linda Barker of Chesapeake, Ohio, and Phyllis Price of Ona; one brother, Emanuel Bailey of North Carolina; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, December 27, at the Evans Funeral Home & Cremation Services at Chapmanville with Rev. Glenn White, Jr. officiating. Burial with Military Graveside Rites will be conducted at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Visitation will begin one hour prior services Sunday at the funeral home.
