HARTS, W.Va. — Mr. Rodney Miller Conley, 36, of White Oak Fork of Harts, was born January 17, 1973, at Logan. He departed this life Thursday, January 7, 2010, at his residence.

Preceding him in death was his mother, Diana Conley Nelson; grandparents, Miller and Margaret Conley and Lawrence “Pokie” Nelson Jr.; uncle, Stonewall Conley, and cousin, Lawrence Payne Jr.

Mr. Conley was a disabled mechanic.

Survivors include his parents, Johnny Lee (Buffy) Nelson of White Oak Fork of Harts; grandparents, Gloria and Cecil Stone of Chapmanville; wife, Linda Conley of Michigan; three children, Shawnia Conley of White Oak Fork, and Rodney Conley Jr. and Jessica Conley, both of Michigan; one grandchild, Rebecca Christenbury of Michigan; three brothers, Dwayne (Diane) Cook of Spencer, James “J.J.” Jason Lake of Michigan and Johnny Lee (Brenda) Nelson Jr. of Chapmanville; one sister, Gloria Memory Dawn Nelson of White Oak of Harts; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and one very special nephew, David “Trey” Lowe III of Chapmanville.

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, January 18, at the Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services at Chapmanville with Rev. Elbert Collins Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at the Conley Cemetery at Smokehouse Fork of Harts.

Pallbearers will be Archie Conley Jr., Adam Conley, Johnny Butcher, Jeff Baisden, Lee Belcher and Clifton Belcher.

Honorary pallbearers will Johnny Lee Nelson Jr., Dwayne Cook, Archie Conley Sr., Billy Conley, Tommy Conley and Simp Conley.

Friends may call between noon and 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Chapmanville is in charge of the arrangements.
