Cops make more local drug arrests

Area police have continued to make drug-related arrests in Logan County according to law enforcement reports.

Jeremiah Sidney Romans, 26, of Dingess, was arrested in Logan County by West Virginia State Police Trooper R.L. Frye for prescription fraud, possession of a controlled substance and conspiracy on Jan. 20.

Kenneth Fry, 38 of Logan, was arrested in Logan County by West Virginia State Police Trooper R.L. Frye for prescription fraud, possession of a controlled substance and conspiracy on Jan. 20.

According to police reports, on Jan. 20, the trooper received a complaint from the Family Discount Pharmacy about an alleged prescription fraud attempt.

The pharmacist reportedly told Trooper Frye that Romans and Kenny Frye were attempting to obtain loratabs with a false prescription from the office of Dr. Vyas.

Romans was arrested and officers reportedly found him to be in possession of percocet without a valid prescription.

The two men were booked at the Southwestern Regional Jail at Holden at 9:40 p.m.

• Dale Blankenship, 37, of Sarah Ann, was arrested in Logan County by West Virginia State Police Troopers C.D. Kuhn and B.R. Moore for possession of a controlled substance and conspiracy on Jan. 13.

According to police reports, on Nov. 6, at 4 p.m., Blankenship allegedly conspired with another individual and assisted in the delivery of 10 40mg oxycodone tablets to another subject.

"Upon further searching the accused, he was found to be in possession of another 10 40mg oxycodone tablets," the report states. He was reportedly released on bond.
