CHIEF LOGAN STATE PARK — The Cincinnati Reds made a stop in Logan Friday morning to bring good news to baseball fans.

The Reds are back on the radio.

"This is the first step in a new relationship with the Cincinnati Reds and all of the games will at least be on WVOW AM and the Reds came here today to say 'We want to work more in detail with you, we want a stronger, tighter relationship and we're coming to Logan to show you how much we want that relationship," WVOW Radio Station Manager Larry "Speedy" Bevins said Friday. "This is Step 1 of a new day in WVOW's relationship with the Reds and it's only going to get better."

The Reds staff also announced the first ever Logan, W.Va. Day for Sunday, August 1 in Cincinnati where the Reds will take on the Atlanta Braves.

"You can log on to www.reds.com/logan and buy tickets half price," Bevins said. "Regular season game tickets are not available for sale right now, but you can go right now and buy tickets for this game."

Reds Manager Dusty Baker attended the meet and greet session that allowed fans to talk with several Reds players, including Eric Davis from the 1990 World Championship Reds team, catcher Paul Janish and rookie Chris Heisey and color commentator Jeff Brantley.

The Reds players and coaches met with fans at the Chief Logan Convention Center Friday morning for an hour signing autographs and greeting fans of all ages.
