VARNEY, W.Va. Clara Ann Woolum, 64, of Varney, passed away Friday, February 12, 2010, at St. Marys Medical Center in Huntington.
Born June 10, 1945, at Gilbert, she was a daughter of the late Lloyd and Nancy Grimmett Blankenship. Also preceding her in death were two brothers, Robert and Roger Blankenship; a sister, Dixie Spears; a grandson, Dustin James Ellis, and her father-in-law, Arthur Woolum.
Mrs. Woolum was a homemaker and a member of the Jesus Name Church.
Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Charles Allen Woolum; daughter, Melanie Ann Woolum of Logan; sons, Arthur Jay (Sandra) Woolum of Coal Mountain, Jessie (Robin) Woolum and Jody (Stephanie) Woolum, both of Varney, Frank (Gayle) Woolum of Logan, Charles Jr. Charlie (Michelle) Woolum of Chattaroy and Scott (Malena) Woolum of Delbarton; grandchildren, Natasha Ellis Townsend, Heather and Frank Jr. Woolum, Trevor, Ashleigh and Alison Woolum, Christopher Woolum, Peyton and Haley Woolum, Caden and Jody Brayden Woolum and Dylan, Tanner and Hunter Woolum; great-grandchildren, Jacob Collins, Paige Townsend and McKenzie Woolum, and her mother-in-law, Ola Woolum of Varney.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, February 15, at the Chafin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jack Waters and Sister Gaye Hunter officiating. Burial will follow in the Woolum Cemetery at Baileysville.
Her sons will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be at from 6-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
