A Boone County man was rearrested again in Logan when he was allegedly caught trying to sneak drugs into the Southwestern Regional Jail at Holden by corrections officers.

Scott Lee Davis, 30, of Danville, was arrested by West Virginia State Police Trooper M.L. Vance for attempting to smuggle contraband into the Southwestern Regional Jail at Holden on Feb. 6.

According to reports, on Feb. 6, Davis was arrested in Boone County on a Capias charge as well as a possession of a controlled substance charge and for driving on a suspended license.

While being booked at the regional jail in Logan County, Davis had in his possession 32 pills, the report states. Corrections Officer John Harper found the pills hidden in Davis’s boot.

Davis was booked at the regional jail at 6:30 p.m.

• Billy Joe Godfrey, 28, residence not listed, was arrested in Logan County by the WVSP for assault, battery and obstructing an officer on Jan. 29. He was booked at the regional jail at 1:52 p.m.

• Michael Dean Lawrence, 46, residence not listed, was arrested in Logan County by the WVSP for domestic assault and domestic battery on Jan. 29. He was booked at the regional jail at 1:40 a.m.

• Richard Dwayne Davis, 34, residence not listed, was arrested in Logan County for driving on a revoked license, no insurance, no motor vehicle inspection sticker and improper registration on Jan. 28. He was booked at the regional jail at 6:25 p.m.

• Craig Douglas Dotson, 33, residence not listed, was arrested in Logan County by the Logan Circuit Court bailiff for contempt of court on Jan. 28. He was booked at the regional jail at 2:50 p.m. -No further information was available in magistrate court.

• Edward Lucas, 40, residence not listed, was arrested in Logan County for domestic battery on Jan. 26. He was booked at the regional jail at 2:40 p.m.

• Larry Edward Conley, 63, residence not listed, was arrested in Logan County for brandishing a weapon on Jan. 26. He was booked at the regional jail at 5 p.m.
