Born May 7, 1916, in Logan County, he was a son of the late Amos and Martha Eplin Maynard. Also preceding him in death was one son, Jackie Howard Maynard; one grandson, Shawn A. Maynard, and one brother, Bernard Maynard.
Survivors include his wife, Margarette F. Maynard; one daughter, Connie L. (Kenneth) Elmore of Ravenswood; one son, Rex (Gail) Maynard of Lewes, Dela.; one sister, Betha (Vernon) Sparks, and two brothers, Pierce (Maude) Maynard and his wife and Bill (Ina) Maynard, all of Chapmanville; three grandchildren, Sheila Hall, Sharla Hamrick and Melissa Laughter, and three great-grandchildren, Lindsey Hall, Brandon Hall and Nicholas Rosetti.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 6, at the Wallace Funeral Home and Chapel at Barboursville with Pastor James Jobe officiating. Burial will follow in Enon Cemetery.
Visitation will be from noon-2 p.m. Saturday, March 6, at the funeral home.
