The Chief Logan Rec Center pool is now open and has been in use for several days. A swimmer does a lap in the Olympic-size pool.
And while the rec center isn't fully open yet, it's getting closer every day.
Director Tim McCoy said there are a few small details that need to be finished before the rec center is fully operational.
"It's just not ready yet," McCoy said.
The rec center got its workout equipment in last week and McCoy worked through the weekend to get the workout room ready.
The pool permit was also approved recently and lifeguards are on duty from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. each day.
"The facility is really nice, but we're not quite ready to open," McCoy said. "We're almost there — but we're just not — yet."
