LOGAN, W.Va. — William “Jack” Tiller, 70, of Logan, departed this life Friday, March 12, 2010, at the VA Medical Center in Huntington.

Born March 19, 1939, at Mt. Gay, he was a son of the late Claude and Rebecca Thompson Tiller. Also preceding him in death was his wife, Estelene Spry Tiller; one son, William “Billy” Tiller Jr., and one great-grandson, Tony Lee Tiller.

Jack was a US Army veteran and a retired salesman for Logan Hydraulics.

Survivors include one daughter, Teresa Tiller of Logan; one brother, Claude “Sam” Tiller of Whites Addition; one sister, Carolyn Bailey of Whitman; special niece, Marissa Tiller Ball of Chesapeake, Ohio; two nephews, Paul Burgess Jr. of Rossmore and Douglas Tiller of Stuart, Va.; two additional nieces, Eugenia Adams of Holden and Patty Burgess of Rossmore; four grandsons; Anthony Dale Tiller of Logan, William Kenneth “Bud” Tiller of Indiana, and James and John Tiller, both of Ohio, and one granddaughter, Amy Tiller of Ohio.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 18, at the Collins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Irvin Lee officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Collins Funeral Home of Switzer is in charge of the arrangements.
