CHAPMANVILLE, W.Va. — Mr. Willie Mullins, 87, of Chapmanville, departed this life Tuesday, May 18, 2010, at his residence.

Born January 18, 1923, in Whirlwind, he was a son of the late Sol and Octavia Mullins. Also preceding him in death was his wife, Ruby Mullins; one son, Dell Mullins; one daughter, Wilma Mullins; two granddaughters, Kelly and Kimberly Mullins; four brothers, Floyd, Clell, Spencer and Jim Mullins, and six sisters, Gladys Adams, Maude Hensley, Brooke Hensley, Annie Adams, Rosie Mullins and Susie Mullins.

Willie was a member of the Hoover Church of Christ.

Those left to cherish his memory include two daughters, Virgie Mullins and Judy Scott; five sons, Tom (Lois) Mullins, Gary (Rose) Mullins, Kenny (Lois) Mullins, Paul (Rose) Mullins and Clifton Mullins; 18 grandchildren, Lisa (Jamie) Hofmister, Andrew Mullins, Jennifer Mullins, Tina (Larry) Hensley, Tammy (Patrick) Cassidy, Debbie (David) Peters, Ronald (Vicky) Scott, Shannon Scott, Paula (Robert) McCann, Neal (Rhonda) Mullins, Ted Cody Mullins, Sean Mullins, Christopher Mullins, Amanda Mullins, Shelly Williams, Robbie Villalosas, Brandon Mullins and Jeremy Mullins, and 28 great-grandchildren.

A celebration of Willie’s life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 22, at the Freeman Funeral Home with Rev. Manasses Hensley Jr. and Pastor Jimmy Carter officiating. He will be laid to rest in Mullins Family Cemetery at Buck Fork of Harts.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Freeman Funeral Home of Chapmanville has been entrusted with the arrangements.
