On Monday, West Virginia State Police Senior Trooper L. T. Goldie responded to a single-vehicle crash approximately 1.5 miles North of State Route Route 37, on the Erie McCoy Farm, in Ranger.
The police press release said Clinton Lee Robertson, 25, of Kiahsville, lost control of his Isuzu Trooper and rolled over an embankment.
As a result of the crash Robertson died at the scene from his injuries, the press release said.
A passenger in the vehicle, Bobby Wiley, was transported to Cabell Huntington Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
The WVSP investigated the crash.
