Congratulations to the Chapmanville Regional High School Lady Tiger softball team for winning the Class AA state championship for the second straight year! It’s a major feat to win one state title, but it’s even tougher to win two in a row. The Lady Tigers worked hard all season and it paid off yesterday as they achieved their ultimate goal.

And the Logan High Lady Wildcats and the Man High Lady Billies softball teams came close to bringing home more state gold and finished as state runners-up. They played their hearts out and didn’t give up and we applaud their effort and the good run in the state tournament.

Good job, Logan and Man softball teams. We’re so proud of you!

These three teams represented Logan County well in Vienna and placing all three of our county teams in the state tournament shows the rest of West Virginia that we have the best softball right here.

Keep up the good work teams and we hope to see you back in the state tournament next year!
