Three years old - Chloe Beth Maynard, the daughter of Mike and Randi Maynard of Wilkinson, celebrated her third birthday on February 7, 2010 with a Tinkerbell themed party at the Henlawson Fire Department attended her family and friends. Chloe was born Sunday, February 4, 2007, at 1:03 p.m. at Logan Regional Medical Center with Dr. Pimpa as the attending physician. She weighed 7 pounds ,1 and 1/2 ounces and her length was 20 inches at birth. Chloe has an older brother, Michael, 7, who is a second grade student of Ms. Amy Maynard at Logan Grade School. She is the granddaughter of Sidney and Naomi Maynard of Henlawson, Rodney and Kathy Kitchen of Whitman and Randy Earl and Susie Conley of Logan. Chloe is the great-granddaughter of Bernard Maynard of Madison Creek, the late Maggie Maynard, Jewell Dalton of Harts, the late Leonard Dalton, the late Wetzel and Jean Conley of Holden, Dean Kitchen of Logan and the late Jack Kitchen.

Baisden-Crabtree to wed June 5 - Candita Dawn Baisden and Jeremy Adam Crabtree, along with their parents, are pleased to announce their forthcoming marriage. The bride-elect is the daughter of Bruce and Susan Baisden and Patricia and Scott Sheppard, all of Dingess. She is a 2006 graduate of Tug Valley High School and attends the Appalachian Beauty School in South William-son. She is employed with Dingess Service Center in Dingess. The prospective groom is the son of Pam and Robert Crabtree of Lenore. He is a 2008 graduate of Tug Valley High School and is employed with the West Virginia Department of Highway in Logan. The couple will be united in marriage at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, June 5, 2010, at Parsley Bottom Freewill Baptist Church at Lenore with Rev. James Ed Baisden performing the ceremony. A reception will immediately follow at the old Lenore Middle School Gym. The couple will honeymoon to Pigeon Forge, Tenn.

Meade-Robertson engaged - Cindy Meade of Man and Mike Meade of Logan are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Kayla, to Wes Robertson, the son of Pam and Haskel Williamson of Holden. Kayla is currently employed at Cost Cutters. Wes is employed with TMK and attends Southern West Virginia Community College. The couple will exchange vows at the Bruce McDonald Memorial United Methodist Church in South Man on Saturday, July 24, 2010. An afternoon wedding ceremony is planned for two thirty with a reception to follow at Man Middle School. The gracious custom of an open ceremony will be observed.

Three years old - John David Campbell, the son of David and Christy Hatfield Campbell of Accoville, celebrated his third birthday on April 24, 2010, at Chuck E. Cheese in South Charleston. A host of family and friends were in attendance, including Mamaw NaNa, Papaw Johnny, “Sissy” Kaleigh, Mamaw Bet, Jan McCormick (Granny); Shawn, Leigh and Allison Casto; Vickie and Hotrod McCormick, Josh and Mattie Adkins; Danita, Misty, Logan and Laya Noel; Dora and Bronson Arthur, B.K. and Owen Summers, Pauline Lester, Rita Nester; Strikie, Shannon and Sydney Lewis; Mike, Carolyn, Nick and Drew Adkins; Ty, Amy and Baylee Jo Cook; Anthony, Micha and Lucas Browning; Rob, Tana, Summer and Drayden Compton, and Clark, Melissa and Cameron Perry. John David was born at 6:18 p.m. on April 22, 2007, at Thomas Memorial Hospital in South Charleston weighing 5 pounds, three ounces and being 18 inches in length. His grandparents are Johnny and Naomi Hatfield of Davin and David and Betty Campbell of Accoville. His great-grandparents are Clarence and Barbara Ann Campbell, Jan McCormick and the late Buster McCormick, all of Accoville, the late Leonard and Vicie Ellis of Davin, and the late Lloyd and Betty Hatfield of Cyclone. John David is also blessed with three very special aunts, Leigh Ann Casto, Stephanie Hatfield and Ashley Campbell. His two special cousins are Kaleigh Tolliver and Allison Casto.

Couple to wed June 5 - James and Peggy Bowers of Harts, are pleased to announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Ashley Nicole, to Dustin Travis Bryant. Dustin is the son of Gary and Phyllis Bryant of Ferrellsburg. Ashley is a 2010 graduate of Mountain State University with an Associates Degree in Occupational Therapy. Dustin is a 2008 graduate of the West Virginia State Police Academy, 135th basic class. Dustin is employed as a Corporal with the Chapmanville Police Department. The ceremony will be held at The First Church of Christ in Chapmanville on June 5th, 2010, with Minister Bill Mitchell officiating. The gracious custom of an open ceremony will be observed. The couple plans to take a cruise to Mexico for their honeymoon.
