All blood types are needed — especially Type O.
There is a great need for blood donations. The American Red Cross says that every minute of every day someone needs blood and the only way they can get enough is through your donations.
Today, there is a blood drive going on at Logan Elementary School from 1-6 p.m. On Tuesday, in Delbarton in Mingo County, there will be another blood drive at Burch Elementary School from 1-6 p.m.
To donate blood, donors must be at least 18 years old, in generally good health and weigh at least 110 pounds.
We urge everyone who is able to give blood to help save another person’s life.
