CHAUNCEY, W.Va. — Bobbie Hilbert, 77, of Chauncey, departed this life Friday, July 9, 2010, at her daughter’s residence at Micco.

Born February 16, 1933, in Floyd County, Ky., she was a daughter of the late Charles and Eva Bailey Sloan. Also preceding her in death was her husband, John W. Hilbert; one son, Johnny Hilbert, and one sister, Maggie Varney.

Bobbie was retired from Logan County Board of Eduction and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her son, Charles “Chuck” Hilbert of Chauncey; three daughters, Janet (Pete) Wellman of Proctorville, Ohio, Donna Fleming of Micco, and Regina Mullins of Crestview, Fla.; one sister, Aletha Ellis of Stone, Ky., 11 grandchildren, Patrick (Kim) Wellman of Chesapeake, Ohio, Scott (Tanya) Wellman of Gallipolis, Ohio, Hannah (Chris) Reese and Chris (Heather) Fleming, both of Proctorville, Tracy Fleming of Switzer, Jonathan (Amber) Mullins, Kara Mullins, Cassie Sliegh, all of Crestview, Fla., Steffanie (Robert) Queen of Hickory, N.C., Vicki (Emmanual) Adkins of Chauncey, and Amanda (Tommy) Bias of Omar; 16 great-grandchildren; special friend, Glenna Burgess of Chauncey, and special niece, Betty (Don) Conn of Pine Creek. She was and always will be the sunshine of our hearts and will be sadly missed.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, July 12, at the Collins Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Charles Blankenship officiating. Burial will follow in Chauncey Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be family members and friends.

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Collins Funeral Home of Switzer is in charge of the arrangements.
