Construction is underway on Marshall University’s Rural Health and Clinical Education Center at Airport Road at Chapmanville. The center held its groundbreaking ceremony on April 2 and construction began shortly thereafter. It is scheduled to open later this year and will provide expanded primary and specialty care physician services to citizens of the region; clinical education opportunities for medical, nursing and other students; and advanced training opportunities for medical residents and fellows in a rural practice environment.
