CHIEF LOGAN STATE PARK — The Aracoma Story Inc. is planning to honor military servicemen and women on Wednesday nights during the summer production of The Aracoma Story.

The production company is giving free admission to all active soldiers and giving all veterans half off ticket prices for upcoming Wednesday night shows.

“As a salute to our Armed Forces, The Aracoma Story, Inc. has announced that during each Wednesday Night performance of The Aracoma Story – Spirits & Legends, they will offer free admission to all active military personnel and half-price admission to all veterans for their ticket purchased at the box office on the night of the performance,” a press release from TASI President Jim Frye said.

“We are very proud of all the people from our area that currently serve and those who have previously served in the Armed Forces.”

This year, Boling Baker is being portrayed by Shaun Adkins, a former Marine. Others in the cast are veterans as well, the press release said.

“This is just a small way we can say ‘Thank You!’ to those folks for all the sacrifices they have made on our behalf,” Frye said.

Opening Night of The Aracoma Story - Spirits & Legends will be presented at the Liz Spurlock Ampitheater in Chief Logan State Park on Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. The show will run Tuesdays through Saturdays, July 20 through August 7. All performances start at 8:30 p.m. nightly and the box office opens each night at 7:3 p.m.

Advance ticket discounts are available at The UPS Store in Logan, Necessary Things in Logan, Pic-Pac in Man and Aracoma Drug in Chapmanville. Tickets can be purchased by phone including group discounted tickets using Visa or MasterCard by calling The Aracoma Story, Inc. office at (304) 752-0253.
