Locals representing Southwestern District were The GFWC WV Woman's Club of Logan and the Omar Woma's Club.
Georgianna Tillis, the state's out going president's theme was HEART and SOLE (Step Out with Lifestyle Education) stressing walk a thons and healthy eating.
A special focus of our Heart and SOLE project was Camp Mountain Heart which is held each summer at Cedar Lakes for children who live with cardiovascular disease. Directed by Dr Larry Rhodes, a WVU Pediatric Cardiologist, the camp is completely free to the children who attend.
Julie Perry, a member of the Elkins Woman's Club, served as the state chairman. Throughout the state of WV, approx $20, 670 was raised and donated to Camp Mountain Heart.
Dr. Shannon Bennett Campbell, a member of the Elkins Woman's Club, served as the president's Special Project "Illuminate to Eliminate."
Cathy Jo Canterbury of the Fayetteville Woman's Club served as the Junior Woman's Club State president.
