LUNDALE, W.Va. — Dica M. Osborne, 86, of Lundale, went home to be with her Lord Tuesday, August 31, 2010, from CAMC General Division at Charleston after a short illness.

Born October 25, 1923, at Bald Knob, she was a daughter of the late Rev. Herbert and Martha Magdalene Osborne Peters. Also preceding her in death was her husband of 71 years, Rev. Alda Osborne, and several brothers and sisters.

A homemaker, Dica was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother and a friend to all. She was a Christian who loved to attend various area churches.

Those left to cherish her memory include 10 children, Bertha Brinegar, Shirley Parker, Larry (Kay) Osborne and Donald (Regina) Osborne, all of Lorado, Birdie (Ted) Floyd of Delbarton, Henry (Mary) Osborne and Arnold (Misty) Osborne, both of Davin, Rosie Cook of Lundale, with whom she made her home, Billy (Darlene) Osborne of Oceana, and Virginia “Virgie” Duncan of Man; two brothers, Rev. Robert (Pauline) Peters of Harts and Acie Peters of Mullins; 25 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two special friends, Kenneth Crouse and Juanita Osborne, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, September 4, at the Cyclone Church of God with Rev. Kenneth Lusk and Rev. Ronald “Nig” Vance officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.

Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be from 6-11 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to services Saturday at the church.
