The invocation was given by Cecil Willis.
Special guests include Logan Regional Medical Center CEO John Walker and Mary Booth, president of the AWVHA. Booth introduced and administered the oath of office to the auxiliary's new officers: Gay Cook, president; Juanita Clay, 1st vice president; Beverly Roark, 2nd vice president; Peggy Heatherman, secretary; Midge Cox, treasurer, and Nora Bailey, co-treasurer.
Birthdays for the months of June, July and August were also recognized. Those celebrating included June Burns, Bill Clegg, Gay Cook, Macelene Smith, Nancy Garrett, Doris Jarrell, Juanita Clay, Mary Beth Ferrell, Junior Jude, Larry Roark, Lotus Martin and Nora Bailey.
Scholarships were presented to four of the six recipients present by Karen Dingess, scholarship chairman. Those attending were Lesa Mayhew, Lauren Murray, Eva Stanley, Josh Rakes, Britany Fillinger and Jennifer Baum.
Door prizes were won by Alice Cheek, Beverly Roark, Delores Smith, Pat Joe White, Edna Napier, Emalou McArthur, Sue Dunn, Joyce Childers, Delores Murray and Effie White. The prizes were distributed by Midge Cox and Nora Bailey.
Closing prayer was by newly installed president, Gay Cook.
