COLUMBUS, Ohio — Mr. Kenneth Ray Hager, 63, of Columbus, Ohio, formerly of Chapmanville, was born December 11, 1946, at Big Creek, a son of the late Ted and Ida Thomas Hager. He departed this life Saturday, September 11, 2010, in Columbus, Ohio.

Also preceding him in death was his step-daughter, Jonda Spradlin, and five brothers Jimmy, Johnny, Frank, Jack and Carl.

Mr. Hager was a graduate of Chapmanville High School, a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving as a Sergeant during the Vietnam War. He was a lifetime member of the VFW 3424 and AMVETS 1312, and member of the American Legion Post 144 and the Church of Christ. He was an avid golfer.

Survivors include his wife of nine years: Jean; two sons: Kenny and Teddy (Alicia) Hager; three grandchildren; step-daughter Tonya (Ron) Henneberg; step-son A.J. (Mary) Henneberg; four step-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; one special great-granddaughter Alyssa; sisters: Mary Vance and Sarah Lowe of Chapmanville and Carol Pearce of Columbus; brothers: Paul (Barb) Hager of Rockledge, Fla., and Ron (Nora) Hager of Columbus, and best friend and golfing buddy, Kelly.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 25, at Highland Memory Gardens Mausoleum at Godby with Mr. Ronnie Linvill, minister, officiating. Military Rites will be conducted. Following his wishes his remains was cremated and returned to almost heaven West Virginia.
