Pot and Treatment Option

Voters in California this fall will see a modest reform initiative to partially legalize, regulate and tax marijuana. California once again has the opportunity to lead the nation in recognizing the social harm done by the misguided "war on drugs" and opt for more sensible policies than our purported political leaders are prepared to offer.

.. California was the first to approve medical marijuana, and 13 more states have followed suit. Those states are mostly in the liberal Northeast or the libertarian West, but Michiganians voted to legalize medical marijuana two years ago.

The problems predicted to come along with medical marijuana haven't been there. If California voters approve their pot option this November, the taxing possibilities might help the idea spread faster than medical marijuana use has.

Most Americans realize that most of the worst social problems connected with drug use and trafficking arise not from the properties of the drugs themselves but from the fact that lawmakers have tried unsuccessfully to institute prohibition. Liquor dealers don't battle it out on the streets,

either here or in Mexico, but they did during alcohol Prohibition.

It's time to treat marijuana use as a health problem rather than a criminal problem. To that end we point to the amazing results found with the drug Vivitrol. Remarkably Vivitrol is proven to instantly eliminate drug and alcohol cravings, freeing the dependent person to a life no longer in-slaved to drugs.

We are glad the FDA approved the use of Vivitrol for such use last Friday. We urge Congressman Nick Rahall to use his influence to return the inherited rights of Federal Judges to once again apply a range of sentencing options by repealing the current draconian mandatory sentences now in existence. Such new enlightened options to should include a treatment model based on Vivitrol.

As in most things virtuous ,the magic of Vivitrol was first discovered by ingenious entrepreneurs, not by a government agency. Grass roots American entrepreneurs such as Signature Hill Law Firm, Attorney Angelo Papa (ceo@signaturehill.com) has refined the cross application of Vivtrol as an addiction eliminator resulting in a virtuous circle, of no drug addiction, no crime, no prison, no new tax payer burden.

It should be noted that the Spirits Industry (Alcohol,Wine & Beer) is fighting the legalization of marijuana in Calif., it would cut into their profits.

Which would you want to see your children on, addictive alcohol or non-addictive marijuana.

Cannabis, the cure for alcohol and drug addiction. Would you beleive it?

Again the Yellow Banner mixes apples with oranges.

Vivtrol is a drug that eliminates the cravings of addictive drugs.

So why is Pot or Marijuana (Cannabis) brought into the mix of addictive drugs.

Cannabis is classified a hallucingen and is used for medical purposes. Cannabis is not an addictive drug, but a herb found naturally growing as any other plant.

The article points out that no government agency discovered the drug Vivtrol, it should be pointed out that there is no government agency that discovers drugs.

But the government does fund pharmaceutical companies and other private sector labs to discover new medicines and life saving drugs for We the People.

Without government funding, most medicines and life saving drugs would not be on the market today.
