Editor,

At the present time, the Obama administration, through Lisa Jackson's Federal EPA, is requiring one set of regulations in the Eastern U.S. and another in the Western U.S. The Obama administration intends to shut down 200 surface mines. These mines mine coal that can not be mined any other way.

In the Gulf of Mexico there are 2,909 oil wells controlled by America. We had two explosions and Obama is closing down all of our production in the Gulf. Our production in the Gulf is worth a trillion dollars to the American people. There is no other country in the world that is cutting the production of energy.

When you increase the production of energy you generate jobs. When you cut the production of energy you increase unemployment and poverty.

Sincerely,

Lawrence B. Lyon Jr.

Larry,

Mountain Top Removal Coal Mining destroys our topography and posions the Flora and Fauna.

"Coal that can't be mined any other way", so it's okey for the dastardly coal industry to decimate our Counties and destroy the People's lives.

Which America controls approx. 3,000 oil wells in the Gulf of Mexico, North, Central or South America.

The United States controlls those oil wells that are in our international waters, approx 200 miles.

The Gulf of Mexico and the People of the Gulf States are worth a lot more that a Trillion Dollars.

Larry, the U.S. is in the process of going from fossil fuels to renewable means of energy, you like myself will have to live with it, the same way Reagan/Republicans changed our economy from an industral base economy to a service base (bankrupt) economy.

Energy does not control our economy, we the People do, supply and demand does.

We the People will determined what form of energy that the U.S. will ultimately use, not the fossil fuel industry.

Massey Energy, Arch Minerals and the other MTRM strippers must not be allowed to dictate the People's future.

I beleive you have to protect the land and the People, vote Jesse Johnson for U.S. Senate.
